Consolidating data into a new platform at Lunar

Context

Lunar is a Nordic challenger bank where data is spread across the systems that run the business. The bank wanted that data brought together onto one platform that data engineers and the business could build on, rather than reaching into each system on its own.

What I did

I led a new data platform project on Google Cloud and took it through strategic planning, setting the outcome it needed to reach, the shape of the platform, and the path to consolidate the bank’s data onto it. It sat inside the developer and platform experience department, so it was planned as a self-service capability for data engineers rather than a one-off pipeline, under the same outcome targets and continuous regulatory compliance as the rest of the department. I built the investor pitch deck centred on this data platform, putting its value proposition and growth potential into business terms.

Outcome

Lunar had a defined data platform project on Google Cloud, a plan to bring its data onto one consolidated and self-service footing, and an investor story built around it.
